What's the difference between non-exclusive (NE) and exclusive (E) license rights?
Non-exclusive (NE) licenses grant the same intellectual property rights to each purchaser (licensee) of the beat. After your purchase, the beat remains available for sale to other users, purchasers, or entities. In contrast, exclusive (E) licenses indicate that we (licensor) agree to not grant other licenses (of the same scope) for the beat. This means that after your exclusive rights purchase, we will remove the beat from further sale to other users and you will retain the scoped rights of this beat for your creative works. Previous non-exclusive purchasers of this beat will retain their previous non-exclusive rights. However, we will no longer have the right to resell the beat.
What rights does my standard online beat purchase include?
All LoopBaby online tracks carry non-exclusive (NE) license rights (to purchase an exclusive rights track, please contact us). In addition, your online non-exclusive purchase grants you the right:
- To make one (1) derivative work with the beat (example: adding vocals)
- To fulfill one (1) commerical use of the derivative work for profit or non-profit (example: sell the song online, on a CD, mixtape, etc.)
- To distribute and/or perform the derivative work
- NOT to resell the downloaded beat or sublease the license
How do I receive my purchased beat?
After selecting the Buy Now [$] button of the track within the MP3 Player, you'll have the opportunity to pay for the selected beat through PayPal's safe and secure system in a separate browser window. Upon immediate verification of your payment, you will be directed to a Thank You page where you can instantly download your beat. You will also be sent a Thank You confirmation email that includes the download URL for this beat.
